The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of journey-level experience (or 3 years coordinating maintenance), and a California driver license. The position involves on-call duties and travel between sites with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Three years of journey-level experience in a skilled trade with one year lead experience, or three years coordinating maintenance projects.
• Valid California driver license and ability to obtain transportation between sites.
• Flexibility to work on-call and variable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and inspects maintenance personnel in construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
• Plans priorities and assigns staff to ensure critical work orders are completed promptly.
• Ensures work complies with Building, Health and Safety, and Education Codes and regulations.
• Interprets plans, prepares sketches, reads specifications, and coordinates procurements.
• Develops preventive maintenance plans and schedules safety measures.
• Maintains inventories and oversees training of staff.
• Responds to emergencies using district cell phone during and outside regular hours.
