Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building maintenance supervision in residential or commercial setting.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall, painting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a time-sensitive environment.
• Sensitivity to diverse populations including LGBTQ+ and HIV-affected individuals.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and outside contractors.
• Identify, schedule and coordinate building repairs.
• Ensure repairs/maintenance are performed to a high standard.
• Train and review work by URI Maintenance Workers.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance service work.
• Supervise contracted work.
• Coordinate completion of service requests.
• Coordinate turnover of vacated residences.
• Ensure materials and cleaning supplies are adequate.
• Conduct regular inspections of building and grounds.
• Provide maintenance updates to Assistant Director.
• Adhere to local, state and federal building codes/regs.
• Respond to site emergencies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
