Job summary

LifeWorks in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our Facilities team. The role covers building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds, and event support, with a focus on ensuring safe, functional spaces across sites.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years related experience.
Experience with basic household and commercial maintenance and repair.
Ability to perform light plumbing, electrical and vehicle maintenance.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and using search engines for maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

Performs and coordinates maintenance and repair duties for facilities, grounds and equipment.
Moves furniture and equipment between LifeWorks locations and donation sites.
Purchases supplies and equipment for projects as needed.
Ensures LifeWorks fleet vehicles meet inspection, safety and maintenance requirements.
Completes renovation/construction projects, including light plumbing and electrical work.
Climbs ladders to perform ceiling, gutter and roof repairs.
Maintains facilities and grounds, including landscaping and window cleaning.
Handles other duties as assigned.
