Job summary

Qualifications

• Special boiler operator license required; willingness to obtain 2nd class license.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for energy management and monitoring.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping.
• Solid math ability.
• Customer service oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Delivers interschool mail and packages daily with district vehicle.
• Responds to after-hours maintenance emergencies district-wide.
• Performs scheduled repairs to maintain buildings (carpentry, painting, general maintenance).
• Inspects and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, security, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Coordinates with other trades on larger projects.
• Repairs equipment such as desks, chairs, tables, lockers.
• Prevents maintenance on lighting ballasts, switches, motors and outlets.
• Coordinates grounds maintenance: snow removal, mowing, debris cleanup.
• Operate boilers, water heaters, compressors and related pressure vessels per state statutes.
