Job summary

Pioneer Retirement Community is seeking a full-time Maintenance employee to perform a wide range of routine and preventive tasks under the Environmental Services Director. The role emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and timely repairs in a senior living environment, with duties including boiler-related responsibilities and occasional transportation support for residents.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, Minnesota boiler license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and a valid

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; boilers license or ability to test for licensure.
• Current Minnesota driver’s license meeting facility insurance requirements.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals and HVAC equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks as directed by Environmental Services Director.
• Maintain heating, cooling and ventilation systems to ensure safe, clean conditions.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organized and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist with boiler inspections and related regulatory requirements.
• Lead or assist with on-call duties and weekend rotations as required.
• Repair and service building systems and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Operate lawn care and snow removal equipment as needed for safety.
• Ensure safe movement of residents and staff when transporting between points.
• Maintain fire alarm and safety systems checks as part of routine inspections.
• Adhere to all infection control, safety, and facility policies.
• Collaborate with staff to provide a pleasant and safe living environment.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor.
