Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the buildings and grounds, ensure safety, and manage custodial and maintenance tasks across facilities and retail locations.
The role requires knowledge of OSHA, maintenance, and vendor management, with responsibilities ranging from HVAC and lighting to event setup and safety compliance.
The Facilities Manager maintainsthe buildings and grounds of Goodwill, and oversees the company’s grounds, buildings,and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional. To ensuredaily custodial services to keep the building’s interior attractive and hygienic. The Facilities Manager conducts regular inspections of allfacilities for Goodwill, to determine areas that need attentionand then perform the tasks and oversee a budget and must negotiate with outside vendorsfor supplies, repairs, and other measures. Maintain and schedule the overallcleanliness and grounds of applicable retail stores within the company. Performall Facility Maintenance issues.
Must have carpentry skills including theability to paint, patch and float sheetrock.
7. Musthave minor electrical skills including bulb and ballast knowledge.
8. Musthave minor plumbing skills.
9. Mustbe able to problem solve and make decisions as it relates to the building.
10. Mustbe able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights,and weekends.
11. Mustbe able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
12. Mustbe able to engage in prolonged standing, walking and in frequent bending,stooping, and stretching.
13. Mustbe able to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods ofhigh stress.
14. Mustbe able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
15. Musthave computer skills.
16. Mustpossess a valid driver’s license
GED, HS Diploma or TradeSchool Certificate Required. 3-5 YearsGeneral Maintenance, Building/Facility Management experience may substitute foreducation.
