Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help keep the physical plant safe, clean, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors in a San Jose facility.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, address safety concerns, and work with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs with courteous, respectful service. General repairs, grounds care, and operations of tools may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), college degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts scheduled maintenance throughout the physical plant and grounds.
• Identify potentially unsafe situations and respond appropriately.
• Communicates with patients, families and interdisciplinary team in a caring, empathetic, respectful manner.
• Familiar with electrical distribution system; performs service work and coordinates with outside vendors as needed.
