Job summary

Aerotek in Elk River, MN is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, air compressors, lighting, plumbing, and building infrastructure. The role involves indoor and outdoor work, problem solving, and supporting employees across the facility.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance, basic electrical/plumbing tasks, and coordinate with external vendors for lawn care and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance and building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general repairs.
• Comfort using hand and power tools.
• Basic carpentry and painting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air compressors.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace lighting throughout the facility.
• Handle basic electrical repairs (switches, outlets, fixtures).
• Perform plumbing repairs and general facility upkeep.
• Inspect and maintain security camera systems.
• Maintain eyewash stations and overhead heaters.
• Patch drywall, paint, and furniture maintenance.
• Assist with roof leak identification and reporting.
• Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, and exterior areas.
• Coordinate lawn care and snow removal with vendors.
