Job summary

City of Elk River is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain city facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to calls, and assist with cleaning and grounds upkeep.

Union position with benefits through the Public Employee's Retirement Association. Starting pay is $31.55 per hour; responsibilities include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs, with potential after-hours emergencies and safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance work including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and diesel systems.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, use safety procedures, and operate tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance of electrical, plumbing, heating, HVAC and other systems.
• Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance and repairs; respond to alarms.
• Lead snow removal and seasonal grounds maintenance; assist with cleaning tasks.
