Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker in New Orleans, LA to support parking facility upkeep and customer interactions. The role covers cleaning, basic repairs, and timely reporting of maintenance needs to the Facility Manager.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license. Some shifts may require 3rd shift or weekends; excellent customer service and the ability to work under minimal supervision are valued.

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or an equivalent combination may apply.
• License Requirement: Valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Availability to Work: 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required depending on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks per facility checklists to keep areas free of dirt and debris.
• Walk garage daily to identify and address maintenance problems and safety concerns.
• Sweep, clean entrances, exits, rails, and restrooms; empty trashcans in all areas.
• Paint surfaces as directed to keep poles, signs, doors, walls, and curbs neat.
• Replace bulbs and manage oil spills; submit repair or maintenance requests.
• Check gate arms, ticket spitters, and gate operations for proper function.
• Assist customers within the facility and resolve complaints with supervisor guidance.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and keep a garage/lot sweep sheet.
