Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is hiring a Porter (non-driving) in Houston to assist with facility maintenance and customer interface. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and offers a first-shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 5:30am–2:00pm) with a pay rate of $14 per hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning, basic repairs, safety checks, and assisting customers within the facility. Strong communication and a willingness to perform a range of tasks are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter and debris is removed from all areas of the facility.
• Walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
• Sweep and pick up around entrances and exits and clean surfaces on all levels and offices.
• Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth and the office.
• Paint surfaces as directed to maintain neat and clean areas.
• Replace burned out bulbs.
• Apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
• Submit repair or maintenance requests.
• Check safety items for proper operation.
• Provide ticket and record gate counters to the Manager.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.
