Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a facilities coordinator to oversee maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs across Student Life operations in Columbus. You will respond to urgent issues, supervise contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while supporting events and daily campus life.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2 years of maintenance experience, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to lift 70 pounds. On-call weekends and evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Push/pull 70 pounds capability.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate safely.
• Valid driver’s license and successful background check.

Responsibilities

• Develops, delivers and executes maintenance plans; diagnoses issues and resolves or mitigates them.
• Installs, repairs, replaces and maintains building, mechanical and dining equipment and systems.
• Leads facilities activities; conducts inspections; reports findings and coordinates with teams.
• Coordinates with contractors and university partners; ensures safety and compliance.
• Maintains preventive maintenance programs and safety documentation.
