Job summary

Distinction, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. The role directs staff, manages work orders, and coordinates with center staff to meet maintenance needs.

Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, supporting CRA projects through inception to completion, and managing transportation programs including GSA fleet oversight to keep vehicles safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; relevant experience may substitute.
• Two years related experience preferred.
• Experience working with youth and excellent written/verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the administrative and maintenance services of the department.
• Monitor daily productivity of staff to reduce inefficiencies and maximize task completion.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure proper repair and compliance with safety/building codes.
• Assess internal controls to safeguard department equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Perform maintenance and custodial tasks on buildings, grounds and equipment as needed.
• Maintain an effective work order system.
• Coordinate with other center staff to determine maintenance needs.
• Oversee service and maintenance subcontracts to ensure project progress and modifications.
• Engage in CRA projects from scope of work to contract completion including DOL approval.
• Prepare and maintain equipment inventory and preventive maintenance records.
• Provide an effective transportation program for students.
• Manage GSA fleet, evaluate needs, and ensure vehicles are safe and inspected.
• Ensure staff complete GSA transportation paperwork and vehicles are ready for use.
