Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our facilities team, oversee workloads and schedules, and uphold safety and quality standards. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely, compliant maintenance across locations.

The ideal candidate will have HVAC certification, a valid driver’s license, strong leadership and communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• State Builder’s License and HVAC certification preferred; Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong leadership and staff training abilities.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to enforce safety regulations under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; Manages and motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains established facilities in accordance with local and state building codes.
• Manages activities of all maintenance departments in terms of cost management, methods, and staffing; establishes budgets and schedules.
• Provides technical knowledge for maintenance projects and assists when needed; prepares service estimates and maintains project budgets.
• Develops and implements policies with executive leadership to achieve departmental goals.
• Negotiates sub-contractor contracts and inspects contractor work for safety and procedures.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is carried out on a scheduled basis and maintains maintenance records.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with staff, vendors, and the public.
• Drives continual improvement across the organization.
