Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager in Owosso, MI to lead our facilities team across multiple sites. You will supervise maintenance staff, ensure safety, manage budgets, and drive preventive maintenance programs to keep buildings compliant and reliable.

You will develop schedules, train staff on company policies, and coordinate with vendors to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Extensive knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and trades.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities; train staff on policies and responsibilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and enforce safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and following client direction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluate staff and manage hiring/termination decisions; motivate staff to provide quality service.
• Maintain facilities per local and state building codes.
• Manage maintenance departments in terms of cost, methods, and staffing; ensure budgets and plans.
• Provide technical knowledge for maintenance projects and assist when needed; prepare estimates and maintain budgets.
• Develop and implement policies with leadership to achieve departmental goals.
• Negotiate subcontractor contracts and inspect work for safety and procedures.
• Ensure preventive maintenance procedures are carried out and maintain records; evaluate equipment for replacement.
• Establish and maintain relationships with staff, vendors, and the public.
