Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of building and facilities maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains facilities in accordance with local and state building codes.
• Manages maintenance departments in terms of cost, methods, staffing; adheres to budgets and schedules.
• Provides technical knowledge for maintenance projects and assists when needed; prepares service estimates and maintains project budgets.
• Develops and implements policies with President to achieve departmental goals.
• Negotiates sub-contractor contracts and inspects work for safety compliance.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is carried out on a schedule and maintains maintenance records.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with employees, vendors, and the public.
• Seeks continual improvement of the organization.
