Job summary

North Central College in Naperville is seeking a General Maintenance I to help keep campus facilities safe and functional. You will perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and furnishings, inspect spaces, and report hazards to ensure a secure environment for students and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, driving license, and ability to lift 75 pounds, with more tasks assigned by the Facilities team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings regularly and report safety concerns.
• Coordinate with supervisors and assign work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Repair and replace building components, fixtures, and systems.
• Maintain access/egress areas free of hazards.
• Prepare rooms for events and arrange furniture.
• Travel to vendors to pick up materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
