Job summary

Westtown School seeks an experienced, full-time HVAC Technician to support operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and related building systems across campus.

This role requires strong technical background, hands-on troubleshooting, and safe, independent collaboration with the Facilities team. The position is essential personnel with on-call weekend coverage to address emergencies and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, or related skilled trade experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical principles and the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, voltage testers, multimeters).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong safety, regulatory, and code compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and related building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, heaters, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain equipment records for scheduling, parts, and resource utilization.
• Plan and install equipment and system components in line with codes and project needs.
• Support on-call weekend rotation and emergency response as essential personnel.
