Job summary

Gilbane Development Company in Watertown, MA seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily building operations and energy management. You will implement preventive maintenance, uphold quality standards, and drive operational objectives to maximize property value.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years’ maintenance engineering experience.
High school diploma or equivalent with technical school certification.
General maintenance skills in carpentry, painting, locksmithing, etc.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Proven knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical terms.
Strong knowledge of building trade tools and equipment.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Must be a good team player with multitasking skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including after hours and/or on-call duties.

Responsibilities

Supervise vendors and subcontractors as needed.
Maintain preventive maintenance and overall schedules for all facilities.
Institute and manage maintenance and operating best practices for buildings, grounds and systems.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other guidelines for work performed by maintenance personnel, vendors and subcontractors.
Operate and manage Building Management Systems (HVAC, lighting control, security, life safety).
Manage usage and procurement to optimize utilities.
