Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Director for an Extended Care facility. You will oversee maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping to keep the site clean, safe, and well-maintained, while guaranteeing laundry services for clothing and linens.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and regulatory compliance with OSHA and IDPH standards. You will also manage procurement and participate in life-safety activities and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some business and personnel management training is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating or air-conditioning is expected; licensure a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH regulations related to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire personnel to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Oversee the scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
• Supervise the purchasing, storage, and distribution of housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies.
• Conduct and oversee fire, disaster, and evacuation drills for all shifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator.
• Be on-call to handle facility emergencies and urgent repairs.
