Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in healthcare.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
• Ability to read blueprints and regulatory manuals.
• Proficient with basic computer tools and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for the facility.
• Conduct daily rounds to assess maintenance needs.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance staff; close work orders promptly.
• Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate inspections with contractors and vendors.
• Manage maintenance budget and purchasing within guidelines.
• Maintain maintenance records and state survey documentation.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests after hours.
• Participate in disaster preparedness planning and drills.
• Ensure safety protocols, signage, and PPE are used.
• Train and mentor staff in safe practices.
