Job summary

Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance of city-owned facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees daily operations of maintenance supervisors, skilled trades personnel, and maintenance workers.
• Manages the department's work order system to review, prioritize, assign, track, and complete requests.
• Monitors daily work assignments, productivity, and work order completion rates; ensures efficient use of resources.
• Reviews work orders and performance indicators to identify overdue tasks and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Oversees scheduling of preventive, routine, emergency maintenance and facility improvement projects.
• Conducts inspections for quality, safety, and compliance; coordinates with City departments on maintenance issues.
• Assists Director with annual Facilities Maintenance budget and monitoring expenditures.
• Coordinates purchasing of maintenance supplies and materials; develops scopes of work for repairs and renovations.
