Job summary

MD&A in Ohio is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance across buildings, oversee refurbishments, and ensure the site remains well maintained and compliant with regulations.

You will supervise facilities staff and external contractors, manage service contracts and budgets, monitor utilities to reduce costs, and ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met. This role requires 5+ years of experience and strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage telecommunications, heat, electricity, plumbing etc. and refurbishments and ensure they are well maintained.
• Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
• Oversee building projects, renovations or refurbishments.
• Responsible for handling facility emergencies as they arise.
• Manage the maintenance of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
• Supervise all facilities staff and external contractors performing equipment & facilities maintenance.
• Control activities such as parking, waste disposal, building security etc.
• Handle service contracts including company leased and owned vehicles.
• Keep financial and non-financial records.
