Job summary

Jourdanton Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to plan, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department, ensuring safe and dependable facility operations. You will oversee schedules, budgets, and safety programs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while coordinating with Nursing, Dietary, and Activities teams.

The role requires at least three years of supervisory maintenance experience, bluePrint reading ability, and knowledge of building codes.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant position.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department’s operation.
• Ensure maintenance schedules are followed and safety regulations are enforced.
• Coordinate maintenance with dietary, nursing, activities, and other departments.
• Inspect storage rooms and work areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Meet with maintenance staff regularly and review department competence.
• Monitor equipment and safety procedures; report damage to Administrator.
• Assist in preparing the Maintenance Department budget and cost reports.
• Maintain MSDS records and ensure proper labeling and storage of hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain infection control policies and universal precautions in maintenance tasks.
