Job summary

Jourdanton facility is seeking a Maintenance Department Supervisor to plan, organize, and direct the maintenance program in accordance with current standards, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents. You will oversee daily operations, schedules, and staff, driving quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires coordinating with Dietary, Nursing, and Activities teams, managing budgets, and enforcing MSDS and safety protocols while maintaining equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance/plant-related position.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activities.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments (Dietary, Nursing, Activities).
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Inspect storage rooms and work areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Review and develop corrective plans for deficiencies noted during surveys.
• Monitor maintenance procedures to prevent waste and ensure efficient use of supplies.
• Assist in preparing the Maintenance Department's budget and submit for review.
