Job summary

Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a Maintenance Associate to maintain interior and exterior areas across multiple buildings. The role includes daily cleaning, completing work orders, and coordinating services to resolve maintenance emergencies.

The position requires a GED or HS diploma with 1–3 years of relevant experience, plus preferred experience in electrical, plumbing, or painting. On-call evenings and weekends are possible, with travel across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required, 1–3 years relevant experience.
• Prior experience with electrical work, plumbing, and/or painting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks: cleaning, trash, restrooms, and general upkeep of assigned buildings.
• Travel to multiple sites within the area and be available for on-call evenings and weekends.
• Lead and coordinate with external vendors; supervise contractors when needed.
• Assist with floor care including stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning as required.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and coordinate services for timely resolution.
