Manpower is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant for a prestigious private club in the Melbourne, FL area. This hands‑on role supports the Facilities Director in maintaining the safety, appearance, functionality, and overall operation of the club's buildings, grounds, equipment, docks, and facility systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance experience, mechanical aptitude, and a customer service mindset suited for a premier member‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of facilities maintenance or related experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Experience working with vendors and contractors preferred.
• Valid Florida driver''s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance and operation of club buildings, grounds, equipment, docks, and facility assets.
• Perform routine inspections and identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and equipment upkeep.
• Respond to maintenance requests and facility-related emergencies.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers as directed.
• Assist with facility improvement and capital projects.
• Support maintenance activities involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor and maintain grounds, parking areas, walkways, lighting, drainage, and common areas.
• Maintain records related to equipment, inspections, warranties, service agreements, and maintenance schedules.
• Assist with inventory management and maintenance supply tracking.
• Support hurricane preparedness, emergency response, and post-storm recovery efforts.
• Help ensure a safe, clean, professional, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff.

Location: Melbourne, FL Area (Florida's Space Coast)
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Additional Hours: Occasional Saturdays as needed

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in private clubs, hospitality, marina operations, resort facilities, property management, or similar environments.
• Previous project coordination or facilities support experience.
• Technical training, trade school education, certifications, or related coursework.
