Job summary

The Humboldt Senior Resource Center in Eureka, CA seeks a Facility Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, home repair, and custodial operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient building operations.

You will supervise staff, manage life safety and regulatory compliance, oversee asset management and CMMS usage, and coordinate vendor contracts to support reliable facility services. This role also serves as an on-site emergency responder when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years of increasing responsibility in facilities maintenance and operations.
• Two (2) year supervisor experience required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Healthcare or commercial food service experience preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour General Industry training or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and custodial operations and lead staff.
• Direct home repair program and enforce policies for safety and quality.
• Ensure life safety and regulatory compliance across facilities.
• Manage CMMS data, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate after-hours and emergency coverage, and on-site responses.
• Oversee vendor contracts, purchases, and facility-related projects.
• Conduct regular inspections and staff trainings to uphold standards.
