Nextera Energy in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to field repair and maintenance requests, coordinating with outside vendors for quotes and scheduling. The role maintains vendor relationships for preventive maintenance, supports space management and admin tasks, and communicates costs and impacts to leadership.

The position requires 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, strong computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance (hands on and vendor coordination).
• Solid computer skills with purchasing systems and office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Solid communication and negotiation skills for working with outside vendors and working internally across departments.
• Ability to work independently and schedule work in line with company priorities.

Responsibilities

• Field all facilities related requests for repair or maintenance, coordinating with outside vendors as needed for quotes and scheduling of work.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support preventive maintenance, facilities cleaning, recycling, and hazardous waste disposal.
• Interface and communicate with company leadership, coworkers, and property management (where required) to ensure all are informed of project costs and impacts.
• Assist with office related projects such as desk moves, supply ordering/tracking, and general space maintenance.
• Responsible for providing administrative support, initiating communication and coordination with necessary departments to complete requests.
