Job summary

LaBelle Winery is seeking a hands‑on Facilities Assistant for Amherst and Derry locations. You will perform cross‑trade maintenance, lead event setups, and maintain safety and building standards in a winery environment.

Requirements include 3+ years in facilities/maintenance, strong problem‑solving and communication, and a valid driver's license. Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff is a plus. In‑person roles with a day shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Maintenance/Facilities experience.
• Multi-trade experience (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC) preferred.
• Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vendors and requirements relative to the facility.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform skilled carpentry, painting, remodeling, and refurbishing of interior and exterior spaces.
• Diagnose and perform repairs across trades including plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems.
• Assist with maintenance of LaBelle Lights and event setup.

Facilities Assistant (Amherst and Derry locations)

• Monitor vendors and requirements relative to the facility such as waste removal
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Perform skilled carpentry, painting, remodeling, and refurbishing of interior and exterior spaces
• Diagnose and perform repairs across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems
• Assist with maintenance of LaBelle Lights
• Lead/assist in the construction of our yearly LaBelle Lights event
• Removal and storage of all LaBelle Lights at end of season
• Perform HVAC filter changes and basic HVAC troubleshooting as required
• Monitor and replace light bulbs and fixtures, interior and exterior, as needed
• Maintain and oversee landscape including weeding, feeding, planting, and watering
• Lead and assist with construction projects as assigned, applying independent judgment to determine best approach and materials
• Manage plumbing, electrical, and water needs and repairs of the facility
• Manage and troubleshoot the irrigation system
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs across all facility systems
• Assist with installation and maintenance of the vineyard
• Manage snow removal, ice, and snow management on property
• Event set‑up of chairs, tables, and other furnishings under the direction of Hospitality Managers and/or the Director of Event Operations
• Assist in wine bottling
• Mentor facilities staff and provide hands‑on guidance for less experienced team members
• Other duties may be assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk/stand for long periods; for an entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a food/wine environment
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Ability to drive a golf cart and utility vehicle
• Ability to use leaf blowers and weed trimmers

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Derry, NH 03038 & Amherst, NH 03031: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
