Job summary

Bowling Green State University’s Facilities Information team seeks an assistant to document and organize campus building data, floor plans, and drawings. You will handle CAD updates, classroom maps, and map creation using AutoCAD and Illustrator, while maintaining data in the space management system.

You will support GIS map creation, data hubs, and file scanning, working with campus facilities staff to ensure accurate records and timely updates.

Qualifications

• Intermediate computer knowledge, architectural and construction drawing reading skills.
• Excellent organizational skills. Ability to focus on and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Dependable and responsible.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Illustrator software.
• Training provided for Document Management & Space Management software.

Responsibilities

• Organize electronic and hardcopy drawings and documents, and entering them into a document management system
• Create and Update Small Scale Floor Plan CAD drawings
• Assist with updating space management software
• Field measure physical spaces and do corresponding edits to CAD drawings
• Update and create classroom map files
• Adobe Illustrator map creation
• Data Hub maintenance, scan documents, miscellaneous office duties
• GIS map creation
• GPS data collection
