Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead a team responsible for maintaining the community’s building, interior, and grounds to ensure safety, cleanliness, and comfort for residents.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will implement preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff while complying with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff as needed.
• Maintain interior areas to high cleanliness and safety standards.
• Oversee grounds care and exterior repairs in coordination with vendors.
• Document preventive maintenance and track work orders.
• Prepare apartments for resident move-ins, including touch-ups and repairs.
• Maintain fire safety records and emergency procedures.
• Inspect units for hazards and coordinate repairs with leadership.
• Utilize building management software to track tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Follow management directives and collaborate with team members.
