Cleveland County's Detention Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform general facility and grounds maintenance under supervision. The role includes operating equipment, completing repairs in plumbing, carpentry and electrical tasks, and ensuring a safe, clean work environment.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have an Oklahoma driver’s license, and preferably 1–2 years of technical training.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License is required.
• 1–2 years of technical or vocational training is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate chainsaw, trimmers, pole nippers and bucket truck to remove dead limbs.
• Perform minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical work; may safely use a cutting torch.
• Operate riding mowers and maintain grounds and equipment.
• Remove debris from drainage areas and haul dirt/rocks as needed.
• Inspect equipment for safety hazards before use and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Respond to emergencies; be available 24/7 as required.
• Follow safety policies and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Interface with citizens regarding questions or complaints.
