Job summary

Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court is hiring a Custodial Worker (Non-Bargaining) to maintain clean and sanitary conditions at the Detention Center. The role involves daily cleaning, floor care, and supply replenishment, with an emphasis on safety and compliance with state regulations.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in institutional cleaning is preferred. The position offers benefits, Vacation, and OPERS retirement in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in institutional cleaning or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices must be demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions at the Detention Center.
• Cleans, dusts, scrubs, washes, mops, polishes and buffs units, offices, corridors and restrooms daily.
• Strips, washes and waxes floors in Detention Center areas as needed.
• Replenishes cleaning supplies daily in restrooms and common areas.
• Completes monthly storeroom and semi-annual equipment inventories.
