Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to install, maintain, and repair building systems in a secure facility. The role involves plumbing, electrical work, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and supervising inmates assigned to the Maintenance Department. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus two years of relevant experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance or construction experience required.
• Trade school courses may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair facility structure in line with safe/secure operations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
• Install/repair electrical components and wiring on machinery/equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per the PM plan.
• Supervise and track inmates/residents in Maintenance Department.
