Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 7+ years in a related field.
• State or local license required for HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Texas Jailer certification within 1 year.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Texas driver's license within 90 days.
• Fingerprint-based background check and CJIS/TCOLE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment including jail security systems.
• Perform maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and supervise inmate trustees.
• Prepare estimates and contribute to project planning and cost analysis.
• Review contracted work for quality and compliance.
