Job summary

Peckham Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking a Facilities/Grounds Worker Level 1 to maintain Peckham properties across Mid-Michigan. Primary duties include planting ornamentals, mulching, weeding, lawn care, snow removal, and basic cleaning and maintenance.

This full-time position runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate hand tools and equipment, and have access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of landscape and building maintenance.
• Ability to read simple documents, instructions, and manuals in English.
• Basic math skills: counting, addition, and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with grounds maintenance activities such as planting ornamentals, mulching, weeding, and litter/trash pickup.
• Use a leaf blower to remove leaves, grass clippings, etc.
• Shovel and rake soil and mulch; cultivate soil and plant ornamentals.
• Assist with snow removal and winter safety measures; use salt/deicer as needed.
• Support Peckham Farm and facilities with special projects and general upkeep.
