Job summary

The Industrial Commission of Arizona is seeking a Physical Plant Supervisor 1 in Tucson, AZ. This role supervises maintenance, grounds care, and contractor performance under the Physical Plant Manager, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include coordinating with on-site staff, patching and upgrades, and leading janitorial operations while ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of blueprints, schematics and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of safety laws and building codes.
• Experience in facilities maintenance & work order processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grounds maintenance and coordinate with the supervisor.
• Perform maintenance tasks including patching, painting, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC tasks.
• Supervise janitorial staff and coordinate with security and contractors.
• Conduct safety walks and track contractor compliance to scope.
