Job summary

Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA) is seeking a Physical Plant Supervisor 1 to oversee contractor projects, compliance, and vendor performance. The role includes maintenance and landscaping tasks, ensuring building grounds meet high standards.

This position reports to the Physical Plant Manager and emphasizes safety, supervision of janitorial staff, and coordination with on-site and external teams to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of blueprints, schematics and costing methods.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and work order software systems
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and safety codes
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines
• Leadership and work evaluation techniques
• Building and safety standards understanding

Responsibilities

• Oversee grounds maintenance and ensure cleanliness.
• Coordinate with Phoenix Maintenance Supervisor on grounds condition.
• Supervise janitorial staff and ensure supplies and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors and ICA staff to complete projects.
• Conduct building safety and exterior safety walks.
• Track projects to ensure scope compliance and safety programs.
