Job summary

Clark County Public Transportation Benefit Area (C-TRAN) seeks a Facility Service Worker to perform building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, and basic repair tasks across bus shelters, transit centers, and park-and-ride lots. The role includes operating transit coaches and support vehicles, adhering to safety procedures, and performing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math ability.
• Grounds maintenance and botany knowledge desired.
• Mechanical, plumbing, woodworking and carpentry skills.
• Ability to operate two-way radio and safely operate transit coaches and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit coaches and support vehicles as required.
• Monitor security of assigned equipment and facilities.
• Report unusual conditions to supervisor or police as needed.
• Clean bus shelters, transit centers, and park/ride lots; remove trash.
• Perform light carpentry, plumbing, painting and basic repairs.
• Assist with grounds maintenance at main facility, centers and lots.
• Assist in fabrication of needed items and simple repairs.
