Job summary

Community Transit is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech I to perform maintenance, repairs, and installation tasks on transit facilities, bus stops, shelters, and park-and-ride properties. The role emphasizes outdoor work, safety, and timely data entry in CMMS.

The position requires basic carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and groundskeeping skills, plus the ability to operate power tools and light vehicles.

Qualifications

• 2 years of trade school or recent semi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to work overtime and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Paint, groundskeeping, graffiti/trash removal, carpentry, furniture assembly.
• Light plumbing and electrical service tasks.
• Operate tools and light/medium vehicles safely.
• Enter data in CMMS and communicate via email.
• Office moves and relocations when needed.
