Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. in Mentor, OH is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance/Facility Supervisor by keeping the shop and facilities clean and by performing preventative and corrective maintenance per specifications.

The role requires attention to detail and safe, independent work. Duties include moving materials, operating a tow motor, recording maintenance activities, and assisting with grounds care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Read and follow written work instructions with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to operate a tow motor.
• Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record for the past 3 years.
• Motor Vehicle Record Check will be conducted upon offer and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform Facility duties to ensure functional performance, appearance, and safe conditions.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance per specifications, drawings, and manuals.
• Safely work independently and with others by following procedures.
• Repair, maintain, lubricate, install and replace plant equipment as assigned.
• Keep floors, windows, machinery, and the facility clean.
• Prepare, record and maintain maintenance records for equipment procedures and manuals.
• Periodically drive CRT vehicles to drop off or pick up supplies and equipment.
• Identify plant deficiencies and other unacceptable conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain a cooperative attitude and work as part of the team.
