Job summary

Garvey Manor and Our Lady of the Alleghenies Residence is seeking a Maintenance Worker to uphold the facility by performing routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and groundskeeping. You will follow maintenance schedules, read blueprints, and coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a PA Class C driver's license; two years of maintenance experience

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two years experience in a general maintenance or trade position preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: Pennsylvania Class C driver license required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on equipment/systems as scheduled or directed.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operation manuals.
Maintain communication with the Director of Maintenance re: issues affecting the facility.
Maintain facility in good repair with a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
