Job summary

NHS Management, LLC in Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the facility grounds and assist with general maintenance tasks inside and outside the building. You will support the Maintenance Director, perform hands-on repairs, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You should have basic skills in mechanics, carpentry, electrical work, and painting, plus the ability to read schedules and work independently.

Qualifications

Minimum of one (1) year experience in related field.
Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written or oral diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to organize work schedule to meet work order demands.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS.

Responsibilities

Maintain the facility grounds and assist with general maintenance services inside and outside the facility.
Assist with maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Director.
