Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee daily maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facilities including deck and retail spaces. You will lead a skilled trades team to ensure a safe, efficient, code-compliant healthcare environment and support patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on overseeing plant, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems; developing maintenance policies; supervising contractors; and generating reports to support

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business, science or related field, post-secondary vocation or technical two-year diploma; CHFM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee owned and operated Plant, HVAC systems, and facility mechanical equipment.
• Ensure the performance, condition, and reliability of plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve Preventative Maintenance Program efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain maintenance policies and procedures.
• Supervise outside services and contractors per contracts/work orders.
• Ensure staff deliver services with a customer-focused approach.
