Job summary

The job involves operating various equipment, performing grounds upkeep, and assisting trades personnel. A Utah driver’s license is required, with CDL/UDOT considerations possibly applicable, and drug testing is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in delivery service, custodial, grounds, or construction maintenance.
• Valid Utah driver’s license required at time of hire; Utah license must be obtained within 6 months to operate county vehicle.
• Must pass a drug test and will be subject to random testing; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Transports and operates light, medium, and heavy-duty equipment.
• Operates and maintains facility service vehicles and grounds equipment.
• Performs grounds maintenance: mowing, weeding, watering, fertilizing, sprinkler systems, shrub trimming, snow removal.
• Maintains and uses hand and power tools; conducts routine records and safety logs.
• Assists with loading/unloading deliveries and shipments; supports trade personnel on maintenance tasks.
• Monitors and reports facility issues related to safety and security.
• Assembles/disassembles, relocates, and repairs office furniture and partitions.
• Changes exterior and parking lot lights; performs roof maintenance and window cleaning.
