Job summary

Family Support Services is seeking a Facilities & Grounds Specialist to keep our properties clean, safe, and welcoming for clients and staff. The role includes cleaning restrooms and public areas, basic maintenance, and grounds care at the Safe Shelter and nearby properties.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and capable of working independently. Some knowledge of building maintenance, basic repairs, lawn care, and safe tool use is preferred to address issues before they escalate.

Qualifications

• Performs routine cleaning of public areas and restrooms.
• Performs basic repairs and maintenance duties.
• Maintains grounds and exterior spaces.
• Keeps records of completed work and repairs.
• Adheres to safety, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and restock public restrooms.
• Maintain entrances, hallways, and common areas.
• Empty trash and monitor waste containers.
• Perform basic handyman tasks: plumbing, painting, patching, furniture assembly, fixtures.
