Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a General Laborer in Lancaster, KY to maintain facility grounds and support multiple lines of business. You will operate tools, assist with waste cart management, and help with maintenance tasks while following safety procedures and company policies.

The role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. This is a physical, hands-on position with potential night and weekend shifts, reflecting the company’s

Qualifications

Experience with hand tools and equipment preferred.
Ability to read and follow safety instructions.
Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain facility grounds-keeping including mowing, trimming, litter pickup on grounds.
Operate hand-held, electrical and gas-powered tools and equipment.
Ensure safe operating condition of equipment per policy and OSHA.
Assist with organization and distribution of waste carts and bins.
Perform safe driving practices while transporting containers and bins.
Assist with general housekeeping of maintenance shops and offices.
Perform minor repairs and upkeep of facilities and containers.
