Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a General Laborer to maintain facilities and grounds in Cincinnati, OH. You will operate hand tools, assist on routes as needed, and perform custodial tasks in maintenance shops and offices.

The role requires physical work outdoors in varying temperatures and may include overtime, nights, and weekends. Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and equipment preferred.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Able to read and speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds by mowing, trimming, and picking up paper/trash from grounds and surrounding areas.
• Operate various hand-held manual, electrical and gas-powered tools and equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment per company policy and OSHA.
• Assist with organization and distribution of waste carts and bins.
• Perform cleaning, painting, and minor repairs of containers and facilities.
