Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is hiring General Laborers to maintain facility grounds and assist with maintenance tasks at our waste and recycling operations. You will operate hand tools and equipment, perform basic repairs, and help with unloading and loading containers as needed.

The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, stand for long periods, and occasionally travel between sites. Flexible hours including nights and weekends may be required, with competitive pay and

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds, mowing, trimming, and picking up trash.
• Operate various hand-held, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment per company policy and OSHA.
• Assist with organization and distribution of waste carts and bins.
• Perform safe driving practices while transporting containers and bins.
• Assist with general housekeeping of maintenance shops and offices.
• Perform minor repairs and upkeep of facilities and containers.
• Pressure-wash and prepare waste carts and bins for delivery as needed.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
